About the Academy

Engineering studies at the academy provide students with strong professional skills and the ability to apply them in various technical solutions. The studies emphasize critical thinking, continuous learning, and international networking skills.

Graduates from Tigris Polytechnic Academy get to work with the latest technologies and innovations. The Academy's laboratory and learning environments enable the development of real expertise. Part of the studies are carried out as internships in local companies and as practical projects, allowing students to familiarize themselves with different job tasks and build connections in the working life. Guest lecturers invited from foreign technical universities open the door to internationalization.

After the first year, studies are conducted in English. English language skills in one’s own specialization greatly expand the communication, documentation and information retrieval skills needed in expert tasks.

Degree programs

The first year of study focuses on STEM fundamentals, English language skills, as well as introductory courses in each field. In the degree programs, students develop not only technical skills but also logical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Graduates will master the key concepts, methods, and technologies of their field and will be able to apply the knowledge they have acquired in a creative and critical manner. The scope of the studies is 240 credits (ECTS) and they last four years.

Computer science

The program covers software engineering, strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, parallel computing, human interface design, software security, etc. After completing the core studies in software development, the students choose from three specialization tracks: data science and artificial intelligence, web and mobile development, and software security.

Telecommunications engineering

The studies build competencies in the telecommunications industry to meet the growing need for rebuilding the region’s infrastructure. They would be armed with the cutting-edge knowledge in the field of telecommunications such as 5G and LTE networks and hands-on experience through partnerships with local companies.

Mechanical engineering

Students of mechanical engineering degree program will gain strong expertise in production technology and machine construction. Graduates will work on key infrastructure for society, building for example power plant engines, agricultural and earthworks machinery.

Electronics engineering

After gaining comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of electronics, students will delve into various application areas, such as embedded systems design, sensor technologies, and wireless technologies. Graduates can work in design, testing, and quality assurance positions in the fields of automation, communication, and industry.
